The Luciviewer is a deep-zoom image viewer for medical histologies, designed to process scans from Instapath's proprietary instant histology hardware (YC-backed and patented).
It also supports HSL recoloring, region comments, AI-suggested similar image recommendation systems, and a powerful and expressive search and filtering system for large hospitals to use across their entire team.
I designed and built the entirety of the Luciviewer frontend, from the initial Figma mockups to the final React components, over two and a half months in Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2023.
Over the course of that first summer, as I did my initial UX/UI research, I wrote my thoughts down in a brief. You may access it at the respective link in the table above.
